Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens: The Story of a Great London Park

hydeparkPublishing in 2021, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens: The Story of a Great London Park looks at the parks’ history, what happens in the parks today and looks to the future of the parks. This full-colour paperback has over 200 images and is the first book to do full justice to both the beauty and culture of these two world renowned parks.

This new addition to our Historic England list will be the most complete book ever published on Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and we are running a pre-publication offer to purchase the book at a reduced price of £15 (plus £4.50 p&p). The book will retail at £25 after publication.

To celebrate this exciting pre-publication discount and offer a preview of his work, author Harry Reid will be compiling a series of articles on topics covered in the book to be posted to the LUP blog in the run up to publication. We will be publishing six articles in total on a range of topics including everything from the social impact the parks have had to the beautiful wildlife within. The first in the series will be publishing next month and is devoted to Speaker’s Corner, located in Hyde Park, possibly the most respected international symbol of free speech.

Find out more about Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens and our pre-publication offer on the LUP website.

Once published, all articles in this series will be available to read here.
