Liverpool University Press, an award-winning academic publisher, is looking for a new detail-oriented Sales Administrator (0.8FTE).
Reporting to both the Head of Sales & Marketing and Head of Subscriptions, the Sales Administrator will undertake the following duties:
- Compile information about forthcoming books for the US market.
- Oversee the maintenance of historic book information in our system and also the creation of ebook records for older titles.
- Enable online access to e-books for subscribing customers.
- Administrative tasks for Open Access publishing initiatives.
- Oversee delivery of digital files for distribution to third-party vendors.
- Upload covers to our titles management system and US distributor, checking LUP pages on distributor websites for missing book covers.
- Assign ISBNs and series numbers, creating skeleton records on our titles management system.
- Under supervision from the Trade Marketing Manager oversee the remaindering process for print books, contacting authors and remainders merchants as appropriate.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of data inputting to a high standard of accuracy.
- Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail.
- Possess excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Show enthusiasm and the confidence to contribute to a lively and ambitious team.

The salary is £16,000 (£20,000 pro-rated 0.8) plus bonus.
The role is part-time, working 4 days per week.
LUP operates on a hybrid office/work schedule with a set number of days in the office at 4 Cambridge Street, Liverpool, L69 7ZU.
Benefits include 24 days (30 pro-rated) holiday plus Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown days.
