Meet the Littman Library

Founded by Louis Littman in memory of his father to explore, explain, and perpetuate the Jewish heritage, the Littman Library of Jewish Civilization published its first book in 1965. Today it is regarded as one of the world’s leading publishers in the field of Jewish studies. Its books are renowned for their thorough editing and elegant design, making it the publisher of choice for many distinguished scholars. Since 2017, Littman’s partnership with Liverpool University Press has facilitated its electronic publishing and amplified its marketing reach.

In the short video below, Littman’s managing editor Connie Webber introduces the Library and presents a compelling argument to publish with Littman. For more information or to discuss a proposal, please contact Connie at connie.webber@littmanlibrary.co.uk.

Many distinguished authors publish with Littman and return time and time again. In this video, a selection of authors present their latest research and address why they chose to publish with Littman.
