We’re looking forward to welcoming both White Horse Press and University of Wales Press to Liverpool Subscription Services for the 2024 season. Liverpool University Press brought journal subscriptions management in-house in 2019 and we are delighted to share our knowledge and experience of this side of the business with other high quality small to medium-sized publishers.

Kirsten Poole, Head of Subscriptions at LUP

The White Horse Press is delighted to be forming a new partnership with LUP. Working with a larger like-minded SSH press in key operational areas such as subscriptions management will allow us to provide a better level of service for all our subscribers and readers. It’s exciting that LUP are, among other things, a leading proponent of the Subscribe to Open model for Open Access journal publishing – this is the primary model we’ve decided to implement at White Horse Press, too, increasing from one to five S2O journals for 2024 and for the first time offering a multi-journal ‘Environment and Society’ S2O bundle. We look forward to working with the excellent team at LUP and to seeing where our collaboration leads in future.

James Rice, The White Horse Press

University of Wales Press has an established journals publishing programme and we are excited to work with LUP who are a leading journals publisher and university press. We feel that this partnership will benefit our customers and subscribers alike and very much look forward to exploring new opportunities and avenues in the market.
