Liverpool University Press is delighted to announce the new series editor line-up for Studies in Modern and Contemporary France.

Professor Oliver Davis will be joining Professor Siham Bouamer as Series Editor for the series.
Oliver Davis said: ‘I was honoured to be asked to join the editorial team for Studies in Modern and Contemporary France. I am hugely impressed by the commitment of Liverpool University Press to supporting publishing across the Modern Languages at what is, unfortunately, a challenging time for the humanities worldwide. This series began life twelve years ago as an ambitious collaborative venture between LUP and the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France. I look forward to drawing on my experience as Executive Editor of the Association’s esteemed multidisciplinary journal, Modern & Contemporary France, and to working with the other editors as we develop the vital role of the series in the wider ecosystem of research in French Studies. I hope that we will continue to champion ambitious new work which speaks to the wider political, historical, postcolonial, societal and transnational dimensions of French culture, across a range of media. Having very recently relocated to University College Cork, I also hope to be able to play a role in further developing the reach of the series in Ireland, the European Union and globally.’
Professor Denis Provencher and Professor Jan Windebank have stepped down from their roles. LUP would like to thank them for their help and support with the series.
The Studies in Modern and Contemporary France book series is a new collaboration between the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France (ASMCF) and Liverpool University Press (LUP). Submissions are encouraged focusing on French politics, history, society, media and culture. The series will serve as an important focus for all those whose engagement with France is not restricted to the more classically literary, and can be seen as a long-form companion to the Association’s journal, Modern and Contemporary France, and to Contemporary French Civilization published by Liverpool University Press.
Proposals are warmly invited for the series; please contact Chloe Johnson (chloe.johnson@liverpool.ac.uk) with a Proposal Submission Form.
