The Journal of Romanian Studies moves to a new distribution model

We are delighted to announce that, from 2024, and with the support of the journal’s editors, the Journal of Romanian Studies will be moving to a new distribution model that will help to reduce the environmental impact of print and distribution.

Reduced printing and distribution, convenient timely access

Biannual issues of the Journal of Romanian Studies (JRNS) will be published electronically on the journal’s regular schedule (April and October) with access to individual articles on the Liverpool University Press website via the JRNS webpage. A printed volume containing the two issues from the year will then be distributed in October, when the final issue of the year is published.

These combined volumes will be mailed in suitable packaging to subscribers and members who opt to receive a printed copy as part of their subscription/membership.

The Journal of Romanian Studies is the latest journal to move to this distribution model, joining Australian Journal of French Studiesand British Journal of Canadian StudiesThe Indexer, Contemporary French Civilization and CFC Intersections, and Essays in Romanticism.

Our commitment to the UN Sustainability Goals

As part of Liverpool University Press’s commitment to the UN Sustainability Goals, the new distribution model will enable us to lessen environmental impact by reducing print runs and paper usage, while still enabling subscribers around the world to have convenient and timely access to each issue.
