Liverpool University Press partners with Research4Life to increase global access to Humanities research

Since 2008 Liverpool University Press (LUP) has been a proud supporter of Research4Life, a unique public-private partnership between UN agencies, Universities, the International Association of Scientific, Technical & Medical Publishers and more than 200 international publisher partners.

Research4Life provides researchers at more than 11,500 institutions in over 125 lower- and middle-income countries with free or low-cost online access to over 200,000 leading journals and books in the fields of health, agriculture, environment, applied sciences and legal information. In addition to access to resources and databases, Research4Life offers training aimed at librarians, information specialists, researchers and students.

In response to calls from Research4Life users for greater representation of Social Science and Humanities research, we are pleased to announce that we have now extended our provision to Research4Life and the full collection of journals published by LUP is now available to access for those involved in the Research4Life scheme. The latest research from all of our journals is included, along with select back content.

As a proud academic publisher of the humanities, increasing global access to humanities research is something that we feel strongly about. We are delighted to include LUP journals in history, literature, language, culture studies, and religious studies in the Research4Life programme, supporting their ongoing plan to ensure a long-term legacy of research in developing countries.
