Archivium Hibernicum, the journal of the Catholic Historical Society of Ireland, will be published by Liverpool University Press from 2027. The journal has long provided a forum for new research into Ireland’s religious, social and cultural past. This selection of free-to-read articles showcases the breadth of Archvium Hibernicum‘s scholarship, from Irish communities in France and the Spanish Caribbean to charitable practice, ecclesiastical networks and the everyday administration of religious institutions. Together, these studies offer fresh insights into the people, organisations and connections that shaped Irish Catholic history at home and abroad. Follow the links below to read the articles. These articles are free to read for a limited time.
