As part of our 125th anniversary celebrations we are taking a look at the future of academic publishing with a spot light on early career academics. In this post we hear from Maria Czepiel whose work has been published in the Bulletin of Hispanic Studies (BHS), recognised across the world as one of the front-ranking journals in the field of Hispanic research, and a journal which started life at LUP in 1923 and last year celebrated its 100th anniversary.

LUP is delighted to announce Trailblazers: a new Open Access initiative for ECRs at Lancaster University, University of Liverpool, University of Salford, which uniquely combines OA publication with author boot camps, equipping ECRs with publishing and library skills to support their academic careers.
MLO’s Digital Modern Languages section invites submissions: Early Career Reseachers welcome.
The Digital Modern Languages section of Modern Languages Open is inviting proposals for articles to contribute to an open special issue. Open Access article processing charges will be covered by the section using funds graciously provided by King’s College London. Proposals should be broadly connected to research and teaching in Modern Languages which engages with digital culture, media and technologies.
